Who rides motorcycles?

At the end of my riding days - got a couple BMW's. R1200 - then R1250 GSA. Wanted a bike that allowed me to hear the meadowlarks as I rode on by. With the turnout exhaust on the FXDL - that was never going to happen.

Every year - as the warm winds of spring come down the valleys and across the meadows.

That feeling - a longing for the open road. You guys know exactly of what I speak.

Well for me it is then end, I might get one more ride in the next two weeks then it's oil change time, fuel stabilizer and battery removal and store until next year.

Rockbadchild - that's exactly how I would winterize my bikes also. With one exception. The batteries on the Harley and BMW were sealed. No need to remove from the bike. Just attach a battery tender and leave the battery in the bike. I have an insulated - heated little shed where I kept the bikes. They languished in this shed @ 50F all winter. It's called - Tuff Shed.

nice, my garage is not heated and I have had issue with corrosion in the past so I just take the battery out and charge them once in a while.

That Guzzi looks fun. How is the vibration? and if the Harley is your vibration standard, think compared to Gold wing instead. LOL.

Comfy bike sleeping quarters !

Heck, around here, you could rent that to humans !

Zipped into Home Depot just before close the other night, and noticed 2 guys bedding down on the edge of the parking lot when I was leaving. Dark, so might not have seen them, except one had an LED headlight on.

Line of big tall blue spruce trees.... they were laying out a tarp under one...... decent urban camping spot, for what it was. Sure wasn't 50F here that night though, it was a bit below freezing !

A good reminder..... from work and luck..... we have bikes to ride, and heat !

My 1150 GS
Just finished cleaning the fuel tank from setting a couple years with ethanol gas.
Removed tank& fuel pump & relocated fuel filter below right throttle body for quick changes.
Runs very nice no surging & with my Daylong heated leather seat & backrest 500 miles is easy. View attachment IMG_0246.jpeg
