I often see people in the forum saying: "Go big", "Get the biggest one you can afford", but why? There is no point in going big if it then can't go to the places it needs to go. Or if they then don't have enough work load for the tractor to keep the emissions stuff happy.

Well said sir.
As a rule I try to buy the biggest of everything I buy. However as with any good rule, there can be a corollary to it. Subcompact and compact tractors fill a niche that can't easily be filled by another piece of equipment. Part of the draw is they are sized right. They are small enough to get around the yard and to park in a normal garage with room to spare and they can be hauled by a pickup truck and trailer. Also as you mentioned, they fall below the need for a DPF or SCR emission system. I'll gladly work longer hours with a smaller tractor to avoid the need to have those on my tractor.

Family Farm & Home is our next retailer in line, and will begin offering Summit Tractors at select locations in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania in late March. Runnings will begin at select locations in Connecticut, New Hampshire and New York in early April, and we will be announcing another new retailer’s launch in late April in AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN. We are growing fast.

I'm also waiting, not patiently but waiting...
We have TCS in my area but they aren't on the list to get tractor sales at this time. I might have to go to MI or grab one in TX and take it home. Looking at the Solis website, I really like what I see about the tractor. It is far from a new tractor on the market, just a new marketing strategy to sell tractors through local stores instead of big regional dealerships. Call me crazy but I like it.
