I'm also waiting, not patiently but waiting...
We have TCS in my area but they aren't on the list to get tractor sales at this time. I might have to go to MI or grab one in TX and take it home. Looking at the Solis website, I really like what I see about the tractor. It is far from a new tractor on the market, just a new marketing strategy to sell tractors through local stores instead of big regional dealerships. Call me crazy but I like it.

Summit Tractors is an entirely different entity from Solis. Not a division of ITL/Solis but rather a U.S. based company with their own sales channels, service centers, support, etc. They chose ITL to supply the TX25H and they chose a U.S. based oem mfg to supply the Summit Tractors grapple bucket, for example. Indeed it is a new business model, different from any previous retail tractor product we've seen (which were branded under the store name where they were being sold).

Understood. Thanks for explaining that. I too work in a global company that markets a few things under other badges in far off lands. Some that we own and some that we just sell products to. Just my opinion but whomever chose the model of tractor to do this with, made a really good choice. Summit has an excellent reputation and they seem to working hard to build on it with their method of getting these into the consumer's hands.
Craziness. I had just about gotten out of the mindset to buy another tractor and to spend some of my kids inheritance on some other piece of garage jewelry or some other frivolous thing to ride or drive. Now I think I need a new tractor. 🚜

Where's the pricing?
Well, finally found some "pricing"
In an ad here it states that the base price is $19,499.

Yep, that is what started this thread. :) I am from Illinois but work in Texas. Long commute, I know....
I had seen mention of this brand for a year or so I think. A few weeks ago I was in an Atwoods store and there in the entryway was a new Summit tractor. Being sort of a tractor aficionado, I had to look closely at it. Obviously I couldn't drive it but as a long time tractor owner and heavy equipment maintenance type, I looked carefully and I liked it. Had all the right things that make a tractor useful around my place and the fit and finish along with build quality were very good. It's a winner in my book. Part of me wants to wait and see if they offer a BH for them. But another part of me wants to pull the trigger on a purchase now.

Alright, I will admit to being more than a little curious about these tractors. A lot of people think a subcompact or compact tractor are too small to do real work. I beg to differ. These are a perfect size for many home and property owners. All my opinion of course. These really look good with the right standard equipment. I will wait just a little bit longer to see if they make it to my home area in Illinois. If not, I'll travel to get one. I would like to see some reports from an owner. Don't bust my bubble please. I am looking forward to seeing more and running one when I can get some seat time.

My question is the Mitsubishi motor balanced most of these Mitsubishi motors I have seen vibrate under higher RPMS. What is different on this unit. I have always appreciated yanmar motors they are smoother well balanced. I have interest in this Summit unit but need to know if it’s capable of MMM. I purchased in 2020 LS MT225S at 19k usd with MMM and FEL. It has been extremely good unit no complaints at 275 hours. However I could use secondary unit in next year.

Good questions. We have a lot of confidence in the Mitsubishi engine. Smooth, powerful and reliable. As for a MMM, the Summit TX25H is more of a work tractor than a mowing tractor. Weighs 3,400 lbs with the loader and standard RimGuard (beet juice) in the rears. We recommend a 3-pt finish mower for those that want to use the tractor to mow. Costs less, easier on/off, great cut, ability to back the mower under tree limbs. Frequent on/off of the MMM can get old fairly quickly. We believe that a MMM is a decent choice on smaller, lighter 24-25HP tractors but not the TX25H. Hope that makes sense, and again, thanks for your question and your comments.

Well said.
A standard subcompact tractor is okay with a MMM. The Summit looks to me to be a little big for that type of work. If I get one, I will go with the big 3 pt mower and use something else to trim around the trees. If the main job I wanted to do was lawn mowing, I would use a typical subcompact. If my main work is moving dirt or pasture mowing, the TX25H is the right size. I have a small property and don't need a big tractor. I need the right sized tractor to fill my needs. I have a 52" tiller which has worked well with my CC/Yanmar. Would a 60" or a little larger be compatible with the TX25H?

I take it the summit tractor does not have underbelly PTO shaft. Something that would also accommodate a snow blower if front mounted. Typically that size of tractor is equipped with MMM 60”. No doubt tough business selling compact tractor in crowded market. Looks like service would set you apart from the others. Any plans on establishing service centers since you trying box sell the tractor. Your prior employer Rural King missed the opportunity for good service over the appetite to sell to the masses. Even the TYM dealers are reluctant to address Rural King tractors unless out of warranty. You started this venture follow it through with repair centers you will be successful. Stand out supporting the summit tractor to assure follow up business either new customer or upgrading to larger tractor that you plan to release in the near future. Good luck and good planning.

I don't think they have a mid-mount PTO. I could easily overlook that in favor of a rear mounted finish mower. It will be interesting to see how it plays out in instances of needing dealer support. I have looked at the tractor on display at the local Atwoods store and I personally think they stand out from their competitors. The size is just right for what I intend to do. The standard features makes it just right for my small farm. When I bought my CC/Yanmar new years ago. I never needed any service work. Parts were needed only twice I think. I would like to see what their plan is if service is needed but I am not sure that it would make any difference when it comes time to make the decision to buy.

So far, the only issues I've seen with the Solis is the front axle wheel seals. All of the complains I've seen were on tractors that had loaders on them and we all know how some people treat their loader tractors... So nothing that would really concern me.

I've read about one or two people complaining about overheating while mowing but they leave a lot of details behind. Again, nothing that would bother me either, plus depending on the material that's being mowed, it may require cleaning the radiator several times during the job. I've had that happen to me and that's something not everyone quite understand until they have a big repair bill.

Yep, I do the clean out often when I am mowing the waterways or borders of my property. When the weeds are up, brushing the seeds and fuzz out of the radiator is critical. I've looked at the Summit tractor every time I go to the store. Everyone will have a different purpose for it I'm sure. For my place the size and standard features makes it a stand out. There are times I think I want a cab but really I think it would destroy some of the handiness of it for me. When I was a kid, I drove tractors a lot without anything over the operator. A good canopy would do me for now.

Thanks for the comment. The tractor does have a mid-PTO and we have service in the areas wherever our tractors are sold.

We decided on Thursday to make the purchase. I called the Atwood store in Joplin, got some information and told them we would be there on Saturday. We got up 5:30am, I loaded the trailer onto the truck and we were on the road to Joplin. Two and a half hours and a Billy Sims lunch later we arrived at the Atwood store. They were fairly busy, but once I told them we were there to buy a Summit tractor they sprang into action. We looked over the tractor with the store managers and asked if they would do a package deal. We left the store with much more than we anticipated. A Summit GX54 GRAPPLE, a box plane, a garden tiller, and a 6' 3 point rock rake. Oh, and a new Summit TX25H tractor & LX85 Loader too! All for less than the starting price of any of Summit's competitors tractors. A tractor and four major implements for LESS than the cost of an X name tractor, without most the standard features the Summit has. I am looking forward to unloading our new tractor tomorrow morning and getting to work on our new garden. This is my first tractor and I think I made a great choice to go with the Summit TX25 tractor.

We have a 10 acre heavily wooded property in Green View, MO. and this Summit tractor is going to, I believe, be the perfect size and power for me to get the work done I want to. I first found out about this tractor through the Good Works Tractor youtube account. After watching most all the videos they have on the Summit tractor I was sold. A huge shout out to the Atwood manager and her crew, they went above and beyond for us. They told us we got the seventh tractor sold from that store, and we can't be any prouder about it.

Congratulations on new purchase. As you put the unit to work share expectations how they been met. We are watching the brand to see how well the following thoughts: 1. Quality of the unit 2. Reliability of the unit 3. Capability lastly the most important 4. Support. Your input is valuable to the site please share. No doubt it’s exciting time for you and your family. Thanks for sharing your post today. I would like to purchase one but need good feedback before committing. No rush on my side but need good data to make decision.

I got one tx25 bought it 5/2/23 at Clarion PA. do yourself a favor and get on the tractor and try actually starting the tractor -like key placement-and operating the tractor controls like the handle placement for rear hydraulic against seat and leg very uncomfortable, placement of the 4x4 control.i'm serious look at these at 73 years old and little heavy you can't do anything with them. I have to get off tractor to put it in 4x4 then get back on .now be sure to check all hydraulic connections had three leaking and have one i can't get to stop yet have a call into summit for a new hose and fitting but haven't had a call back yet.well enough ranting just glad i haven't sold my rk19 yet

There is no lever or button in the operators station to engage 4X4?

Just curious why someone would buy a new brand over an established brand like NH, Kubota, or JD?

   / Who's got one? #39
yeah there is a lever down below the seat but it is very=very hard to reach and push down.bought it for the options and price
I looked at the Summit 25 hp at Atwoods website. After 8% interest for 5 years the total comes to $23,716.
You could get a Kubota L2501 with the same options for a little more at 0% interest for up to 6 years.
