Why do people not want to work?

What are interesting is automation that comes everywhere, here all post offices are gone, most of the bank offices are gone, tax offices gone, A lot of goverment jobs are gone as a lot of the paperwork is automated away, shops are automating, accounting jobs will be a pure massacre as integration between banks, goverment and software companies get up to speed, the government is adjusting many regulations so it can work without human workforce based on DIY solutions online.

Fluff items such as pizza slices I used to pay $2.00 for are now $2.50. The good thing is that I really don't need that junk food for the ride home, so am getting more diligent about packing a better lunch.

There your are, the system of supply and demand at work. I am the same way, I stopped those impulse buys when I have a road trip.

When some one says that they can't hire any one, what they are really saying is that they don't want to pay a wage that any one would be interested in.

Maybe... my contactor friends are all hiring and pay prevailing wage with no shortage of applicants and will train... So what's the problem? Number 1 is suspended Drivers License... Number 2 is Felony conviction... Number 3 is physically not able to perform required tasks

Unable to pass a drug screen was number one when we were looking for new people. Pot is legal in Oregon. Number two was all the applicants that didn't have the basic skill sets needed. Number three was because Admin would never listen to us, especially me - as Lead Tech, as to what a fair compensation should be for a Computer Tech. People left as soon as they found ANYTHING else with better pay. We went through 10 different Techs and 7 Managers in 7 years.
