Why is it so hard to find a decent or good deal these days?

Money is getting tight, people are getting smarter. Hey Mitch, looks like you did what everyone else is trying to do.
I would say you made out like a bandit. Don,t you think you should have basically given that thing away since you used it for seven years, and it cost you 1200.00 bucks. How come you needed to make so much profit ??? LOL

WOW.... I can't say I made a killing like that on anything. I am lucky in an upgrade to get my investment back.. I figure the time used for nothing is a great profit. I like to buy used, remodel, paint, and sell when the need arises for something else that catches my eye. The internet has educated many sellers as have current new model prices. I occasionally see items I could make a buck on locally but word gets back and it isn't worth the hassel it creates. Business calls it survival.... I see it as taking advantage of someone with less knowledge.
