I was told long ago the key to happiness in marriage was having a lot of land and cattle. You always have a reason to leave the house and go do something.

Growing up there were the happy to be married and miserable...

Guess probably the same since marriage was invented.

Maybe the difference now is a lot of professional women out earn men and this keeps some in the never want to be married camp.

I see this a lot with Registered Nurses...

A common theme in the old book the Millionaire Next Door is a good first marriage...

Well, that and the fact, men aren't men anymore... not in the sense of what being a man was in the 70's when I grew up.

100% of all deevorce is caused by marriage. Lock dat in yer brain & work out from it.

Till 60s deevorce industry pretty much quiet & kept so by lawyers not allowed to advertise. Only for de rich.
Along comes Mexican deevorce and Vegas deevorce and lawyers advertising and lid flew off de kettle.

Bunch of funny movies made bout it back den.

Today, why get married? Just find woman who hates you and give her a house & car. You save money over time.
