Re: Why they don\'t wave
Hey DocsKnotInn isnt that a Yanar (japanese diesel between your legs?) ....I love japanese products !!
I love bikes..can you tell? I would have Harley in a heart beat
if they just offered somewhat current performance products.
Its fustrating to see them lack so far behind in basic technological advances. I feel their introduction of the V-Rod
fell short in many ways. Yes they went water cooled, but the suspension & brakes, I think my big wheel was better.
For years the japanese have cloned the harleys, and made them better for less. If Harley only made theirs better, and they wouldnt have to make it for less. The V-Rod harley copied Yamaha's V-Max ( I have a V-max). Its good to see them play catch up in a few areas. They rave at it's performance but the V-max did it back in 1985, faster and better. When the day comes when I feel I can ride a $20k
machine for 30k miles without a complete teardown, I will buy it. I love motorcylces and each type brings a different meaning to the table. The Ducati 996 (abeit these days somewhat outdated) brings the unique V twin sound. The V-Max brings real muscle with a big block sound. The harley thus far brings attititude- I need it to fill in the performance before I bite !!
Beside I'm never around long enough to see the wave
(Bluuurrr) !! so i dont take it personally...
