FOURTEEN - First off,the data are oil analysis results since 1997 on several on my cars, truck, motorcycle and my tractor(s). I am not “crowing” as you call it. Just tired of people that make statements with ZERO numbers to back their statement up.

Lastly, you PS comment is the kind of attitude that gets threads closed so take your comments off line before this thread gets closed! Your comment is not per board rules and could be misinterpreted as rule #1.

Yah all he can do is tell people there publications which have several PHD and docs. in the field of engineering and fluid dynamics that they are not actual references If u could actualy read u know that the oil analysis reference was a international publication that tests synthetic oils and maintance practices in machinery and routinely give advice on products and real live data they said 30w is best left as old history not current a 0w30 will hold up and makes no sense too waste money on outdated products as such /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Only jumbles around with his experiances with 2 cars from 1997 and how great his results are.

I believe my sources and experiances with a fortune 500 company with many years experiance in agricultural equipment. More than a niche market product and i've been a dealer for amsoil about 5 yrs ago and seen some of there selling brochures i've been turned off of there products since my experiances in a 97 gmc truck and 3 diesel 18 wheelers and oil analysis vs 15w40 and 5w40 products for the money </font>

Someone remind me not to post agian on any oil related issues cause i'm obviously not stricken with snake oil brands. Only cold hard 100 year old tried and true technologys. Not saying synthetics aren't good i use them u just have too use the correct product for whatever u have.. and sometimes that $1 a qt oil is exactly what u need. Not $1 an oz. When everyone preaches about how great the oils are i have too remind myself that i've been getting 300K miles outa regular $ 1 qt oils for years and that the newer CI-4 SL oils are better than that. And that 1.3 million miles on an average rebuild can't be beat. Ur more likely to have a mechanical part failure long long before the oil wears the bearings/rings out on anything.

Rest my case... i think this post needs to be put to rest too many politics crying about violating rules i move to ammend rule 13a no amsoil sales ads lol /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Go 2 cummins they even have info on synthetic oils and impact there result 0 and actualy a 2-5% reduction in life expectancy of certian products http://www.cummins.com/na/pdf/en/products/truck/Fuel_Econ_for_web.pdf

If you want “Only cold hard 100 year old tried and true technologies” please sell you computer, truck etc since the old horse and buggy still do work.

To close, I never posted I was doing amsoil sales. Just my use of their product. Sorry you lose.

I will be making a webpage for debates like this. I will let you know when it is up!

Again, you comments are the kind of attitude that gets threads closed so take your comments off line before this thread gets closed! Your comment is not per board rules and could be misinterpreted as rule #1.

Lets close this thread down ASAP.
