My friend drives a 2019 AWD Chrysler and hit a big doe 3 + weeks ago.
In attempting to avoid it he ended up in the center straddling the white line.
Waiting for the LEO's his flashers blinking and he waves down on oncoming car.
The oncoming driver panics, hits the deer and she take out the Chrysler's front end.
Damaged to the point that we question the possibility of it being declared totaled.
She never hit her brakes and my friend had to dive into the ditch.
Going on 30 days and insurance still debating I guess as to who to blame.
LOL, the LEO needed 3 shots to put the doe down, not enough practice.
My Grandma got hit by one that way. She got stopped for one, and another slammed into her rear door. Creased the door pretty well. I wouldn't have wanted to hit it hard enough to put a dent like that in a door.Last week the neighbor was at the 3 way county road stop...
Totally stopped as another car had the right of way.
Deer jumped on the new Ford pick up and did lots of damage... he was taking it in the last I heard but needed to go to a shop that works on the new ones.
Best he can figure is the deer spooked from the raised berm on the side of the road...
So even standing still a Deer can hit you...
