you can disable the seat sensor switch.as we did that on my mx5100hst.so we could get on an off with it running.

Have her strap on some diving weights, tell her it's for a workout while having tractor time too....
Or tell Kubota to install an OP A and OP B switch like in fancy cars....

So the problem is your wife doesn't have enough mass to her ***** to trip the switch. A lot of us would like to have such problems. My JD has a buzzer that goes off if you get out of the seat with the PTO engaged but it doesn't kill the engine or PTO and stops buzzing after a while. It is a reminder not a task master. Why a small tractor needs seat nannies and a farm sized tractor does not is due to who buys and uses each and there average experience level. I'd consider adding an on /off switch in the line someplace out of sight for when you need both operators.

The switch maybe adjustable?

The easy fix here is what I tell my wife to do "Go fill your pockets with rocks" Works perfectly

There's no adjustment on the switch either so the only choices you have are. Heavier wife, Disable switch, Leave it as it is or replace tractor.

I would simply disable it if it cant be adjusted for weight. Most light weight women weigh at least 100 pounds and that should be plenty or even less to trip a seat sensor. Usually there is a small spring that compresses to allow the switch to close. You might look at that and see if you could shorten it or heat a section and bend it to be a bit less stout.

It could be that she is not setting in the seat correctly due to short legs and not being able to reach the pedals. Take a look at that and see if just moving the seat forward wont help. Many times these sensor are toward the back of the seat and if you set far forward in the seat it wont close the contact.

I disabled mine the first day I had it. You can disable it with a zip tie if it's the same as mine. If you flip the seat up and look there is the switch and it has like a plastic lever arm, just zip tie the arm so it says in the down position. No harm to the actual tractor and can be undone at any time!

For the get a different tractor, Kioti has no seat switch, only ignition lockout if in gear.
Or you could get a second wife to help weigh the seat down-

Yep and I appreciate the lack of a seat switch too, standing up to use forks, or leaning on a side hill, my previous Kubota would stutter and shut down occasionally. I never tied it down, but I considered it a couple of times. Why one company thinks you "gotta do this" and another doesn't is beyond me.. I guess it is a matter of corporate lawyers.
