1. Standing in front of the tracks.
2. Having her head under the loader arms.

Hard to say who won in the deal, you or your wife.

Back when the kids were young, my wife and mother-in-law had a conversation one afternnon about how nice it would be to have a pool (for the kids).

Less than a week later, we had a pool "kit" delivered to the house. Guess who got to put it up? And they didn't include a few things in the "kit". Like 5 tons of sand to level underneath. Or the "poolboy" who ended up being the same village idiot that assembled the pool.

First summer, EVERY kid with-in 5 miles spent time in the pool EXCEPT mine. They used it a few hours at first, then got bored.

Second summer, the only ones in the pool were me and our yellow lab. She'd swim out to the floting lounge chairs, climb in and go to sleep.

Third summer, I "accidently" busted down one sidewall while the pool was full of water. (Installing ladder. That's my story and I'm sticking to it) It was a fun ride as all the water ran out. I ended up 50' "down stream".

Fourth summer, I had to pay someone to disassemble the pool and haul it off.

I see a simular story ahead involving a hot tub.

Hot tubs and swimming pools. They're really GREAT for the first year or so. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I've known lots of people who had them; had an in ground swimming pool ourselves for about 11 years. I've also known some people who had them taken out or filled in, and I've known some who had them and moved; just to get a home without a hot tub or swimming pool, but I've only personally known of one person who had a swimming pool, moved to a new place and had another pool installed. Never known anyone to have a second hot tub. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Once rid of the first one; nevermore. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But I'm sure there are exceptions to that; just that I never met one of them. )

Oh yes a pool /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Well, I have a built in pool and the hot tub built in with it and drains into the pool. I love to swim in the hot weather, and dont really mind when my youngest boy brings over his girlfriend for a trip to the hot tub /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif But it is some work maintaining and keeping nice. And then there are times like this spring when I opened it up, and found out I needed a new DE filter element for my Nautilus filter, $330 Mr. Martin, thankyou very much /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Then $200 for chemicals, Thankyou Mr. Martin, will that be all. Get pool running, heater wont ignite,. and I hate playing with propane, get serviceman /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Have wife come home and tell me that if we ever move to Vt, which we will we need another pool for the grandkids /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif No way Kathleen, its too cold up there for inground pools they would freze solid and crack and be ruined, cant do it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
