Had the BX25 and was pleased with it since I didn't have the ground clearance issue now after years of taming my hillside, gullied, rocky treed lot.Since I am on the fence about trading my BX 25 for a B2650 I would like to know why you made the switch? I posted on the BX 25 mod thread a question about the true lifting capacity of the BX 25 three point hitch as I want to get a turf plugger that weighs 650 lbs and the listed spec for the BX 25 three point hitch is 670lbs . I'm afraid I would be too close to the max and possibly do damage to the hydraulics of the BX. The B2650 three point is rated at 1650 lbs. A negative of the B2650 is that with its cab it negates me using the high pressure wand on my sprayer. Everything is a trade off. I'm sorry for diverting the threat but am very interested as to why you traded up John

If I needed the ground clearance and still had bigger projects I'd prefer the B but most of what I now do is maintaining and planting, moving trees, grasses, shrubs, move some rocks and transfer some dirt from one side of property to the other.
I'm also digging some septic lines at the rental property and do prefer the B BH for that since it is such a strong digger and deeper.
Your reason of taxing the 3ph, maybe, I'd get the implement first and see how it works on the BX25, if that's your only reason for trading. I wouldn't worry about straining or taxing the hyd system. It will either lift it or it won't and I personally don't believe it will damage it by using it to its maximum and they will usually go a bit beyond their advertised maximum.
If your just ready to trade or want/need the higher ground clearance then the B is a fine machine. I've owned a B7800, B3200, B2320 and now a B2620 and several BXs and they are all fine machines and I've found none any better than the other. Just different size for different jobs. The BX will usually do almost all the Bs will do but being subcompact vs compact the bigger size will usually do the job faster unless bigger is more difficult to manuver in the given space plus ground clearance is usually the biggest factor of going for B instead of BX and in my opinion acres isn't a major factor between those two.
