Yup. I have a thing for "cupola"s.
I had a moisture issue inside when it had a gravel floor and I always liked cupolas so I found one on a barn that fell and installed it. Cured the moisture issue immediately. Apparently they are designed to produce a upward draft to dry the hay in the loft. It also dropped the temp inside in the summer huge. I also have one as a lawn ornament, (wife won't let me put it on the house :laughing
that doesn't have the added 22 caliber ventilation. That one has the full lightning rod/porcelain ball/weathervane top. Very cool looking. Would love to install the same on top of this one, but people think they are made of gold now.

Look up how venturi works and you understand barn vent cupula.
Lightning rod on top NOT good idea unless grounded right. Might convert barn to charcoal.
