Maybe if they made EV like commercial UPS?

The uninterrupted power system I use have a sliding drawer or tray... 2 screws and slide out all the batteries...

I like the old cell phones where batteries were user accessible... anything else is designed as a throwaway.

My 6S apple is 8 years now on original battery... I would have replaced it a few years back if it was slide in... can't go an 8 hour shift with plugging in...

I was involved in a planning meeting for a new building this week. One of the topics was EV charging spaces in the parking lot. The lower budget figure was $18,000 per spot to provide level two charging. That’s not the physical spot itself, just the installed level 2 charging infrastructure. Plus the owner was still evaluating how they would charge employees and visitors for the service. There’s some administration costs involved that they were trying to figure out as well.

We don't have any but adjoining shopping center has many.

Could be lots of changes in 2024 or not... everything on hold...

The few charging stations I see are either locked out due to not working or no business.

Gasoline stations are always busy

Maybe they ran out of diesel fuel to power them?

Post metrics from 2023 to refute mine, why are you going back 3 years?

Seems to be an extremely even split between 35-54 and 54+ age groups

60% ‘white people’ isn’t the US racial demographic right around 60% ‘white people’?
San Francisco is typical of all of the United States?

Keep ‘em coming. I need a good laugh…

I remember seeing pictures of EV cars from the 1900’s. I think there was an electric model T with a picture of it at a jobsite powering some electric tools.

Said previously that my cousin had a Prius and sold it (no idea how many miles were on it) but I wanted to buy it and add either Tweco or Dinse quick connects to the battery and use it for DC field (SMAW) welding. I know the Prius battery is tiny compared to say a Tesla battery and much less expensive to replace as well. On a Pure plug in that is getting up in age, I would assume a battery replacement versus scrapping the car, would be a trip to the scrap yard.

I suspect that will be the limiting factor in used EV's.

Only time will tell on that.
