Winch on trailer deck. Yea or nae?

Mine is on a receiver hitch now. The older I get, the heavier it gets. Where I am, the risk of theft is relatively low, I might just leave it as-is and put a cover on it since it has synthetic rope.

I hear you, I probably should not have gotten such a large winch, it's overkill. We're in the process of moving to the country where I will keep my trailers at home and crime is very low. I may just mount the winch to the trailer at some point.
