My Quicken Deluxe 2013 is working just fine on Windows 10 . . . but . . . the font is smaller and I just don't like the looks of it. One of my brothers tells me his Quicken 2014 sometimes makes calculation errors, but I think he had that problem before he upgraded to Windows 10.

Anyway, I've been considering buying Quicken Deluxe 2015. However, after doing a little searching on the Internet, it appears that 2015 is only compatible with Windows 7, 8, & 8.1. So I guess I'll be waiting for Quicken Deluxe 2016 rumored to be released the end of this month.

Glad to hear that Quicken Deluxe 2013 works under Windows 10. I only update Quicken every 5 years when they stop support for the old version. Let's face it, how many ways are there to reconcile a checkbook? :confused3:

Bird try clicking on edit, then select preference, then click on register. At the bottom of that page you will see fonts and colors. Click on fonts and select the one you want. My old eyes likes Arial Black with a font size of 11.

I am running Quicken 2015 on three Windows 10 Pro units. I see no difference in it now than when I was using Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 7 Pro.

Thank you, sir. I hadn't found that; much better now. I like Times New Roman 12.

And I'm surprised that I found as much on the Internet as I did about being unable to install Quicken 2015 on Windows 10 when it appears that a number of our members have not had that problem. And I read that there are "rumors" of Quicken 2016 being released late this month, but Amazon is taking pre-orders saying it's expected in February, 2016.

Oh well, I did know that you can't believe everything you read.

I ended up going back to 7. Too much stuff quit working on my laptop and I was just used to 7 and didn't feel like having change anything. Everything with 7 works perfectly fine for what I use it for. Most stuff I do on the iPad now anyway, laptop only gets broken out about once a week or so.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and I like it a lot better than 8. I am still using a desk top with a cordless mouse and was having serious lag problems while using the mouse. I fixed the problem by turning off Cortana and the lag went away. Maybe turning off Cortana would help the people who are having scroll pad problems.

For those who value their privacy, Cortana is the first feature in Windows 10 that should be turned off. It records every keystroke, mouse click, and browser history then sends that information to Microsoft where it is permanently stored on their servers, and used to build a dossier on you. It is then sold to advertisers for sure, law enforcement and maybe the Feds. Big Brother is watching!

Every Google search, every email, every text message your send or receive, every interaction with a web site is logged in a file wherever that service is hosted. As such, it can be used for almost any purpose and can be the subject of a subpoena from law enforcement and it doesn't matter what the underlying operating system is. Your post made it sound like this was new with Windows10.

My post was extrapolated from their site. It's necessary to read between their lies ... errr lines. Obviously they aren't going to explicitly admit working with the NSA for example. They use the term "legal process" but they define what that means. Hey man, different strokes for different folks. If you want to give up your privacy in exchange for Windows 10 features go for it. I decline to do so.

We also share data with Microsoft-controlled affiliates and subsidiaries; with vendors working on our behalf; when required by law or to respond to legal process; to protect our customers; to protect lives; to maintain the security of our services; and to protect the rights or property of Microsoft."

I assume you do not send or receive text messages or email, do Google searches or interact with web sites, buy online, etc.

And your quote of 'legal process' is hardly unique to Microsoft.

As I said, this is not new nor unique with Microsoft nor did I say I use Cortana. I am simply trying to inject some facts into this discussion.

You might want to explore living on a remote South Pacific island if you want to live without sharing any data about your interests, purchases, likes etc. Certainly you need to disconnect yourself from all Internet services, credit cards etc. Heck, you better sign off from TBN because the NSA can find out quite a lot about you by reading your posts. (and your screen name is no shield).

Granted none of us have much privacy left. I am simply pointing out that using Windows 10 features makes it even easier to lose more privacy. As I said, if that doesn't bother you then by all means open the door and invite the M$ propeller-heads into your home.

I realize a lot of people are concerned about their "privacy". But since I'm not planning anything illegal, please explain to me what harm I even might, or possibly could, experience by using Windows 10 and all its features.
