Hey RT, what are the forcasts over your way with that hurricane coming tomorrow? They predicting much impact for you or is it suppose to be far enough off shore?

nothing now... If it comes ashore in the gulf we get it.. if it comes ashore on the SC coast unless it is a big class 4 or 5.. we get nothing normally...

I was here, been here since '02, but I'm only six miles inland so we didn't see anything snowlike. Now the freezing rain we had in '05?? That I did see. Tried to leave work and my car was encased in 1" solid ice. Had to sleep on my desk and the roads were closed for a week till they got all the fallen trees off of them. :-(

That would suck. Especially if you're married with kids. I've seen pictures of things like that, but never experianced more that about 1/8" of freezing rain.

Boy, I sure hope it isn't as bad as last year. We got 265" a new record. I usually like snow but I was sick of it last year. I have a 2.5 mile driveway/road that I have to plow by myself because my neighbor is about useless but that is a different post. .

It wasn't even so much the snow as it was the darn drifts that were killing me last year. I had to plow a significant stretch of the road every morning before work and evening when I cam home just to get to the house. This went on for atleast 3 weeks.

I am looking to upgrade my 3 pt. snowblower from my 64" Ber-Vac to a 72" Allied.

You realize, of course, that your buying a new blower will absolutely guarantee that MD will have a record mild winter.:D

The winter past is never a predictor of the next. Some kind of cosmic law.

Here in Missouri we get at least 1 a year, it just varies as to how far north or south the worst of the storm goes. My personal "worst" is 3 in freezing rain. Really plays havoc with the trees :(

I perfected my setup 2 years ago... I have a Jinma 28 HP 4x4 with R1's and loaded tires plus front and rear wights. It totals 5,600# with me on it and the 7' Woods Rear Grader Blade and a 7' Meyer FEL mounted Snow Plow. Its a snow moving beast.

HA !! I sure hope you are right. But, that is all the more reason to buy one. If I didn't I would most likely be burried.

Rules???? What??

Yeah, rules...

Rule #1) If you talk about it and it sounds cool, you have to show pix to back it up.:D:D:laughing::thumbsup:

Rule #2) If you don't have pix, get them... then refer back to Rule #1.

I've been using a walk behind blower and the FEL and back blade on my B7200 to clear around my greenhouses and a plowing contractor to clear my roads. This year I'll be using a B3030 with a 60" MK Martin snowblower. Here's a pic from our epic winter of 2008. The PVC cold frames on the right are 7 1/2 feet tall. The first greenhouse on the right is 12 feet.

I hope your right, because I live very close to Scesnick, even though I'm in Pa.

I just bought 5 tickets via Korean air to Manila, Philippines... leaving Dec 8 and coming back in mid Feb. My snow removal equipment will not be touched this winter.
