We only got down to 5 on Saturday in Northern Indiana with wind gusts to 30MPH. I went ice fishing at 8:30am. Around 10:00 some young kid dressed like the Michelin Man shows up dragging an ice shanty. He says, "Dude, don't you have a shanty?" kind of rubbing it in. Obviously, no. I'm sitting on a bucket enjoying my good fortune of having the 100+ acre lake all to myself and "Dude" sets his shanty 20' from me.

He says "Dude, don't you get cold?" I tell him, no, I dress in layers and eat lots of high calorie food while I'm out there. If I start getting cold, I'll go get my coat from the van. "Dude, you're not wearing a coat?" He's standing there looking at me and I'm not wearing a coat and he aks that.
About 10 minutes later, "Dude" in his shanty goes sailing by me and I hear "Whoa, dude it's WINDYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy........"

As he comes back towing his shanty, I tell him I may go to my van and get my coat. Then he digs his ice auger into the ice and ties about 10 feet of rope to it, then to his shanty and climbs back in. Well, the wind starts shifting back and forth from west to north over and over. "Dude" is getting batted around like a tether ball and I'm laughing so hard I spill my hot beverage. I decided to call it quits at 11:30. Didn't catch anything, but still enjoyed the frigid weather.
