DFB, in February '90, we were spending the month in Phoenix, but I decided to drive up to Flagstaff and spend a night or two. About halfway up there, we ran into a pretty good snow. I thought it was right pretty myself, but after listening to my wife complain for 30 minutes and then when we came upon a Jeep upside down at the side of the road, I turned around and went back, like she kept asking me to do. Never did get up to Flagstaff./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
I have a similar story only we were headed from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. It was March and the further north we went, the worse the snow became. We finally stopped at a Dennys for breakfast and asked the waitress what reports she was hearing from the southbound truckers. Trucks sliding off the road, etc. We headed back to Phoenix and ended up at a nice zoo instead. Never did get to the GC.
