I have a Kubota L5740 and I notice a little oil coming out of the wobble drain. Naturally, this is the first time I noticed it. I called the dealer and this should not be happening this box is suppose to be dry at all times. This means I have a leak internally. Short of the story, the tractor has to be split in half to fix the issue. Estimated cost $4600.00. Anyone every had any experience with this?

I'm not familiar with the term 'wobble drain' and there's nothing on google to point me in the right direction (other than this thread).

It sounds like something I could/should monitor every now and then... please explain. Ta, Mate.

In a bell housing they drill a small hole at the bottom to release any oils that might get pass the end crankshaft seal.
Usually that drain hole is about 1/8-3/16 and in order to not let it plug up from crap they install a slim cotter pin with the end slightly split but not trimmed.
Vibration causes that cotter pin to 'wobble' and keeps the hole open for drainage thus preventing oil accumulation in the housing.
This is particularly important for clutch drives as clutches and oil do not go well together.

did you check the gearbox dipstick?

And how many hours on tractor? Those seals are pretty durable generally.
