Hello all, I got the beast home last night. That was an adventure as the trailer I picked to rent was barely big enough and the tie down points weren't positioned well. I got on the freeway about 1/4 to 5 and the traffic was at a crawl for most of the 35 miles, lots of idiots playing bumper cars that evening. Today I unloaded it and did some maintenance and looked harder at it. The hood had scratched paint underneath the auction number sticker--need paint. The little dip stick for the hydro-fluid is dry. Stickers on the tractor show it was a rental bought in Georgia and rented out in Texas. It looks like most of the work it did was at the rear PTO. This is going to take some time to get in shape. 1'st thing to do is order the manuals. As I said before, this is my 1st tractor. I'm sure there is a lot to learn and It will be fun. By the way I'm sure the tractor hasn't been rolled, someone just must have broken the left headlight by jamming it into a hillside or something without the FEL on the machine. Kubota lists 2 different versions of this tractor, depending on which deck it has. How do you tell which deck it has. I can find the serial/model number and engine model and type but don't know how to tell which deck mode it has. Are the manuals the same for both types of tractors.
Thanks for all your encouragement.
