Price Check Won Bid on B3200HST was it a good deal?

$13000 for a new B3200 means something was missing, like maybe the FEL? New is $20,000+ around here. I think you got a great deal. I just bought a 2002 B2710HST with 500 hours for $9500. I did not hesitate to pay another thousand to the dealer for a full service and safety check. They found a few things to fix, not surprising.

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. I should have bought a tractor years ago, this web site has encouraged me to take the plunge and buy a good tool and save my old body from physical damage. I enjoy working on mechanical equipment so maintenance won't be a problem. I just hope there isn't something major wrong with this unit. I took a chance, buying it unseen. I'll honestly let you all know if it was a good deal or I bought a lemon.

If you said your location mite could get a fellow TBN member to haul it for you...:D

Oh yeah, this is my 1st tractor and I am pretty exited about it. I live in Rescue CA, Northern Calif. I have a couple of possible people who will help me out in hauling it, but I won't see them until Monday. I appreciate the offer of help. This is a great group of guys. Thanks

If all else fails, you could always just drive it.

if the tractor doesn't have anything wrong with it, you got a great deal. i am looking at a b3300su (same tractor about, just tweeked for hp and no mid pto) and list price is about $19,000. dealer deal to me is $16,280 with fel because i do all my business with them and i think they are a pretty good dealer. the b3200 should be about $1,000 more then the b3300su because it has the mid pto option. so that puts it in the $20,000 range. you got it for $12,600 with 400 hr on it. so after 400hr change & shipping, figure you saved around $4,000- $6,000! my b7800 has over 800 hr on it and no major problems what so ever. (only had 2 minor problems since new and dealer fixed) i don't abuse mine, but i do work it hard. hope yours works as expected and you enjoy it. kubota makes great equipment and the tractor should last you for many years.

Thank you all for your info and encouragement. I paid for and saw the tractor today. It does have a few flaws--someone screwed up the ignition switch so I'll have to replace that, the left headlight plastic is broken, it looks like some turf in there. Other than that it started right up and sounds good to me. It just needs a little TLC. I am pleased with it and will bring it home tomorrow with the help of a Uhaul trailer and a friends truck. Now I have to find out where to buy the manual filters, fluids etc. for the 400 hr. maintenance. I'm sure I'll find that out from this forum. Thanks to all of you!

You don't have a Kubota dealer in your area?

I get most of my stuff from the dealer, but sometimes filters and oil from our local auto parts stores.

I learned a long time ago, once you buy, stop shopping and stop comparing prices. It almost always leads to frustration.

Congrats on your new tractor. :)
