Wonder drug?

A couple short videos explaining cholesterol.

Another on saturated fat.

My own cholesterol tests show very high levels of cholesterol, and low levels of triglycerides, a very good combination, imo. If you have higher levels of cholesterol AND high triglycerides that is not a good combination.

My doctor, who admits she is still learning after many decades in the medical field, tried to get me on a statin...once. I had her send me for a test that determines the amount of calcium laid down in the arteries of the heart, I think it's called a CAC. When she looked at the results she told me to keep doing what I'm doing because it is working well.

I don't overeat, I cook all my own food, and eat a ton of saturated fat. My body uses it for energy; I am very active, I don't gain weight easily, carry a lot of muscle (calorie-burners) and I am 55. If you are inactive, overweight and eat like I do don't expect the same results.

All this to say...ribs aren't bad for you, in all probability, unless you are an obese couch potato.

It was the bones that made the difference. Most people don't eat the rib bones. My dogs get them and they never get dizzy.
