Wood Processing for burning..

I cut 16 large trees early this spring, and I'm still working on them because we have had a lot of rain... I still have 2 large trees and 3 small ones to cut up, split and stack in the shed... Most of this will be next years wood.

That's a lot of work. If I had to do that I think the wife would be putting up with a cold winter

Doc. Mine is doing ok drying,,like you it's been very wet this year,, I still have a cord of wood in the basement,, so I'll burn that first by then the rest will dry pleaty.. I stack up to 6 cord in the basement and after about a month of burning the humidity in the basement is around 15 to 20%,, then I know the rest is getting very dry,, also have a pallet of "bio" bricks coming want to try them out,,

6 cords of wood in the basement, how do you control the creepy crawlies

I've been looking around to see if I can make my own biobricks. I would love to use what come out of the bushhog to heat the house and retire the chainsaws.

doc. I don't bring the wood in untill we have at least two or three killing frosts,, Solar heats the house untill it drops below 40 during the day and I have enough wood from the year before... and if all else fails and I do have to get the wood in early... After it's in I "BOMB" the basement...
