Woodmaxx Snowblower Shear Bolts?

Just looked at mine and a bunch of pictures, with my blower sitting on the ground my top link is headed in a slight upward direction and the others I looked at were the same so you might be on to something.

Notice this one on a big tractor.

You guys got me going... there was a little bit of daylight left (alpenglow), so I went outside to take photos. The driveshaft DIDN'T matter. Same thing happened. I measured the approx length of the lower arm, starting from the same estimated place the top link is located and it was roughly 25.5". The top link measured approx 29". I think that is the problem; the 3 point isn't raising straight up and down.... as the arms come up, the top rod pushes the top of the blower out 5". So I guessing I need to get a mobile welder out here to raise up the top link "tower" so the lengths are closer together. Thoughts?

So if you leave the blower in the up position and shorten the top link to pull it so the blower is level when lifted, what happens when you lower the blower to the ground with the shorter top link?

I would need to put my hydraulics back on to do that. My guess is if it is tipping down when up, it would be tipping up in the same angle when down.

Tomorrow I will put the hydraulics back on and try that.

Makes sense. I'm just trying to help figure this problem out, never saw such a thing, people use these blowers on big tractors all the time and don't have a problem, I'm stumped..

When I see a big tractor with a QH, the top link is probably 4 to 5 inches above were the top link would normally connect to the blower.

Also as a side note.... since I am getting soooooooo good at replacing shear bolts these days.... is it ok to take off the shield which covers the U Joint which attaches to the spline on the tractor? I don't know if it is just my luck, but after the shear bolt shears, the spline side of the connector ALWAYS ends up near the top of the shield which makes it nearly impossible to get at the bolt to replace and tighten. I must have to turn on the PTO 20 times to get the spline part with the hole in it to stop near the bottom of the arc. Kioti in their wisdom attached the shield with 4 19mm bolts which makes 2 minute shear bolt replacement into a 20 minute ordeal. It would be easier if the shield wasn't there..... or if I get the mobile welder out here to have him add spring hinges so the cover flips up......

Mine flips up, I don't see why you can't at least until you find a way yo stop sheering bolts..

The top link bracket on you're tractor, do I see a couple more sets of holes below where you're top link is?
