You need a couple of alligator clip jumper leads,
View attachment 778084
they are available many places any auto parts store as well as Harbor Freight and such.
They will aid as they will grip your meter leads and wires or terminals.

With your actuators disconnected open your switch box and verify 12 volts to both switches on one pair of contacts.
From your previous pictures I would say the pair of contacts in the middle of the switches.
Then with your leads on the other pair of contacts toggle the switch one way your meter then should read 12 volts, let the switch return to center and you should be a zero volts, toggle the other way and you should have the same voltage reading but with polarity reversed.
As you operate your switches you should be able to observe the polarity change from + to -.

That will verify your switches, then start tracing out your harness wires and get the correct pair going to each actuator.
Clips are a good idea, I'll get some tomorrow. Makes sense.... now I know what I am doing tomorrow.

From what the OP wrote, he did not wire 12V Pos and Neg wires directly from the battery to the controller box, but ran a another ground wire from the battery to a post in the control box. And still having issues - not surprised.

That's what happens when i don't read instructions. Why do they want a 12# wire when both the leads coming out of the controller are 16 or 18#. Working on my tractor is my new hobby. This thing is really messing with my mind. I just don't get it. But I will go buy some #12 and see if that works as a direct connection with both the + & - and nothing else involved.

Dont bother buying any more wire until you wire your controller directly to the battery as advised many times - and #14 or #12 wire will work fine.

If you do buy wire, you can use #12 Low voltage underground wire https://www.amazon.com/Wirefy-Volta...la-839004012370&ref=&adgrpid=80210700644&th=1

The only reason for #12 would be if you were using the deflector and the rotator at the same time.

Just a heads up- you guys are AWESOME! Running the big power and ground wire to the controller did it. Thinking back on it, when I originally got the blower maybe 7 years ago, I hooked it up correctly. Two years ago I picked up a hydraulic rear blade and I needed another hydraulic line back there so I bought one of those hydraulic controllers which turns one circuit into 3 (forgot the name of what it was called) and since I already had the wiring back there for the blower, I just figured I'd add a fuse block so I could add a few more accessories for my 2002 Kioti: (rear window defroster), windshield wiper, hydraulic controller, etc) and I must have forgotten about the specific wires to the controller. So once I reinstated the big wires directly to the controller all the weirdness went away. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to walk me though this. Honestly it was driving me crazy trying to figure out why by just cutting the wires, all this weirdness ensued. Tractor is running great, blower controls work well, and a storm is blowing as I write this. Thanks again!

Glad this saga ended well Sierraau - as suspected it was a poor connection/ground issue. In the future if you add devices, connecting directly to the battery is the best solution.

Best for you and yours in the new year, and while your here, put your location in your profile, (tractor model and attachments) - it helps us better understand your climate/weather and coordinate/commiserate with other nearby/local TBN members too.

Where are you in relation to the Truckee web cam at the inn across the street from the 76 station and the double track owned by Uncle Pete?

Ha good one Leon going totally off track now - you must be near the Irving gas station next to the bridge that goes over the river.

3 miles to the east towards Reno. I get the least amount of snow of anyone in Truckee, but I do get lots of drifting snow instead.

The poor connections would have revealed themselves if you had tested voltage with it hooked to the motors.....
