Backhoe Woods 7500 Backhoe on B7500??

My guess is that since Kubota only recommends the smaller of their hoes, Woods plays it safe and does the same.

Personally, I think that if the subframe is connected properly and the operator uses the hoe with care, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Stated another way, an inattentive operator not respecting the limits of any machine will cause damage.

Knowing what I know now, if I were buying again, I would seriously consider putting the 7500 on a B7500 with a subframe mount. At the time (3 years ago), I couldn't find anyone willing to do it.

Next time I'm at my dealer's, I'll run this whole issue by him to get his 2 cents.

Just checked the number on my subframe (9521). It is the same subframe for the Woods 6500 hoe. My dealer told me when he put it on there that either the Woods 7500 or the 6500 hoe would fit on the 9521 subframe.

Thanks for the info. I guess that means that to use the 7500 backhoe on the B7500 and B2910 will require different subframes. That doesn't sound like an appealing proposition.

I've never looked to see what's involved to remove the subframe from the hoe, but I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't want to do it very often.


TractorTeen, I would work real close with the dealer on this one and get some advice.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice. It has been very helpful. I believe that if I am going to get a backhoe I will either share it with a B27/2910 or B7800. As far as I can see I will just save to get it for myself and be done with it. Thanks again for all the information and help.
