woos splitter problem....help needed

This is probably not related to your trouble, but on my home built splitter I was having a problem similar to what you were experiencing. I finally traced it down to the suction line off the oil tank. The rubber hose would get soft from the warm oil and the line was collapsing on itself, cutting off the hydraulic fluid. I put a piece of metal tubing inside the suction line and it ended the problem. You might look and see if this happening with yours.
