Wow....If we are going to fix punctuation here on TBN let' also go for tense.
Lots of issues there.

I've always claimed to be the discoverer of the world's only word that rhymes with purple. But it does involve an apostrophe and the invention of a new contraction.
"Roses are red,
violets are purple,
if the pancakes don't fill you up
the syrup'll" (syrup-will, pronounced "surple")

What do I win?

....then again....lot's of issues here too. :confused2:

I think Roger Miller may have beat you to it and has copyrights...?

Lyrics
Well, here I sit high, gettin' ideas
Ain't nothing but a fool would live like this
Out all night and runnin' wild
Woman sittin' home with a month-old child
Dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman, would you weep for me?
Just sittin' around drinkin' with the rest of the guys
Six rounds bought, and I bought five
And I spent the groceries and half the rent
Like fourteen dollars and twenty-seven cents
Dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman, would you weep for me?
Roses are red and violets are purple
Sugar is sweet and so is maple surple

Well I'm the seventh out of seven sons
My pappy's a pistol, I'm a son-of-a-gun
Well, dang me, dang me
They oughta take a rope and hang me
High from the highest tree
Woman, would you weep for me?

'Dang Me'

The issue also occurs when using a regular desktop system...

Not that I've ever seen, and I regularly post from different machines, Mac and PC.

I posted proof in a thread about the same issue a couple years ago...personally I always try to edit out the miss-parsed text...but it does happen quite regularly...mostly pasting text from other sources...BUT also just quoting an existing post by others will be effected in the quoted text...
...Like I said this was all documented in a much older thread on the same topic...

It also may or may not be related to the issue of "0's" in URI/URL's

I thought this was going to be a thread about:

it's vs. its,
you're vs. your,
they're versus there's, vs. theirs.

I could offer advice on those, but when it comes to describing an item owned by (say) Chris, I have no clue if it's Chris's or Chris' (or Chris'es, etc...) item. :confused3:

Edit: Research says using either Chris's or Chris' is acceptable.

Also note: Your parent's house is owned by 1 parent, but your parents' house is owned by both of them. Hmm....I never knew that!!!

Thanks for the input... BUT no it is not a Possession Thing; it's not even a grammar thing !
More of a Site problem in translating input from different devices !

Thanks to you too, but we aren't talking about correct your postings, we are talking about the Sites ability to correctly translate punctuation.

Hey Guys and Ladies,

My posting has nothing to do with how anyone writes, about what words are used, or what punctuation is used but more of how the Site's Engine converts what you type into a posting, and not making mistakes.

I don't give a Flying F*** about how, what, where, or anything else anyone writes... BUT if I write something using an Apostrophe, then that is the way it should show up, not as some off the wall Emoji or what ever it is !

I am calling not anyone out about how they write , how or what punctuation you use, if I did I would have to stop posting because I can't write for luv nor money, but I want what is written to be displayed as it was written.

So... lets stop all of the BS, I am trying to correct a problem with the Site... THAT IS ALL, OVER !

Thanks for reading and I WILL think twice before suggesting another fix for the Site ! :pullinghair: :drink:

I think you need a time-out? Or is that a time out? And if you need more than one are they called times-out or time-outs or times out or time outs?? I never can get that right. Or is it I can never get that right?
