Wow I've never heard of that one. Is there a way to protect against/treat for the condensation that can form in your tank? I've got a diesel tractor that sits a fair amount of time. How can you make sure its not getting water in the tank and how can you make sure if it does that algea doesn't form?

People talk about gas/diesel prices. No one ever considers that the calibration varies from place to place and fuel truck to fuel truck. Consider me suspicious, but I always seem to need more fuel when I go to the cheapest place! You Yanks are lucky. You didn't get hosed into that metric/litre BS! Makes a BIG difference when the prices go up, or when the pumps are not calibrated in your favour.

I don't question our measurements down here. But I am very reluctant to buy fuel from an unknown supplier. Try to buy all my diesel from the same supplier. Only take road trips couple times a year where that's not possible.

Treat your tank.

None of my equipment will get more than a couple months tank time with fuel. But I still get paranoid this time of year. I filled all my equipment last week. Some units, such as my M9540 will not get new fuel again til Spring. I treated it with PS white bottle. But it doesn't protect against algae. I'm confident that I filled it with non contaminated fuel free of moisture as I can get. You just kinda hope for the best.

No worries there . It is the idling in the winter . I have a honda side x side myself and it is trouble free . Also for chainsaws , weed eaters quads that don稚 get used much , I use avgas . It never gets weak or clogs carb or injectors . Cost very little more than regular .

I am interested in seeing pics and comments concerning your equipment line. I don't even know what most of that stuff is. Don't mean to hijack this thread though.

Maybe start a thread concerning equipment you have that might not be common to 95% of the users here??? Thanks in advance!!!

Thats the first time I have ever heard someone suggest Avgas. There used to be a place not far away that sold it. My friend bought some for his Vett. I don't use enough gas to make the higher price an issue. Why does it not loose it's octane with time?

Remember when my brother bought a low mileage Mercedes Diesel from an Estate... it had been parked in the garage for 3 years... with a cover.

He went through a case of filters and bottles of RedLine fuel biocide the first 6 weeks... eventually it cleared up and that was 25 years ago and he is still driving it...
