Until I read about your issue I had never given someone's balance the respect that it deserves.

^agree....I have only had one little bout with vertigo and it was not fun. I can't imagine having it every day like the OP and others have.

I hope they figure out whats causing the issues and can get you back to normal RSKY.

I have pretty bad post nasal drip that causes fluid to build up in my ears, I get a little balance issues sometimes but mostly it's just hearing problems.

During allergy season it can be worse, you really dont understand how important your balance is until you lose it and it doesn't come right back. One day I'll probably habe to get tubes in my ears.
My fear is always that it'll hit me when I'm up on the roof.

I'm also aging, and finding some things harder to do, and that many take longer. My family also advises strongly against some activities. I don't hunt alone, don't run equipment alone, always check in with someone if I'm doing anything that might be risky. Recently, I've been having knee issues and had to resort--for a short time--to using a can for any rough-ground travel, and have been wearing a knee brace for several months. It isn't easy getting old. Staying active is certainly helpful to all things.

I know what the problem is and am being treated for it. It's called Ménière's disease. I had surgery for it in 1992 or 93 and the doctor said the installed shunt would be good for thirty years. I made it 32. The son of that doctor is treating me now. Fourth generation ear surgeon in a clinic that his great grandfather started. Said he was in the operating room watching his dad do surgery at 14. Supposed to be one of the best in the country. Has patients from all over the world. Takes long enough to get an appointment.

The clinic in Memphis RSKY is going to one of the best if not the best.
