When I bought my last Grasshopper tractor, I had a choice, Kubota gas or Kubota diesel...
After talking to a couple guys that bought the gas version, I KNEW for sure I didn't want the gas engine just on what THEY quoted me on gas consumption alone! My dealer confirmed it!
Then there's the fact, of how BAD todays gas is, when you try to store it!
Sure glad I bought another diesel version, it starts easy, winter or summer, purrs nice, has good torque and is REALLY GOOD for fuel consumption!

Some of us have access to non ethanol gas so the poor gas problem isn't a problem for me. I have a fuel station two miles from me that sells 91 octane non ethanol fuel from Canada for 50 cents more per gallon than regular 87 ethanol fuel, it's in ALL of my gas engines.
