We (me & Dad) just mowed the 2.5 acres for the first time with me on the BX (60" MMM), and my dad using the 48" Ferris walk-behind. When we had the old 42" rider it took my Dad about 6 hours+ to do the whole property. :thumbdown: With the Ferris it took about 4 hours+. :thumbdown: When we both did it today it took a little over an hour!!!:dance1: Wow!!!:eek: The BX mows so fast!!! :confused2: When we got it I asked the dealer if it would do it as fast as a ZTR. He said it might be as fast as a residential ZTR but not a commercial one. I think (when mowing straight) it was as fast as a commercial one (although it lacked the turning radius of a ZTR). We also took off the FEL & BH before we mowed. It took a little while since it was the first time, but there were no major problems...:) Since it was the first time I mowed, I went over some areas twice, mowed some with the deck up, crossed paths with my Dad and missed some spots. :eek: So when I get the hang of it, we should be able to get it done in less than a hour!!!:eek: Wow!!! :confused2:

Thanks for carrying the load...

I have been out and busy for weeks...
We need to start enforceing the picture rule better...

I'd say free fluid change labor for nearby TBN members for the 2nd infraction.. and lunch at the local watering hole aka steak house for the third....

1st is a warning...

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

I hope you read the humor in this... at least the folks that know me will....

:thumbsup: Never used the BX for mowing, but maybe when our Craftsman goes to meet its maker I'll look at getting the MMM.

In any case, good to see you having quality seat time!

Thanks, the old rider we have is a 42" Craftsman. It doesn't run :(...Oh well, I guess I'll just have to use the new BX...:laughing:

It sure is!!! :eek:

And it's CompactTractorFan in the straigtaway, with bp fick half a length behind, Qapla is coming in a close third. it's a tight race, I think the FEL length is giving bp fick an advantage. Coming to the finish line, it's CompactTractorFan by a full length......

Sorry just couldn't resist....

Just mowed again today for the last time (this year :laughing:). It seemed a little slower the second time; it might just be my imagination...;)

Believe me, it will seem to get slower and slower till you decide that you need to get a bigger faster tractor with 72" mower or whatever. Then that one will slow down also (in your mind) till you may want even more power and then when you get that, heck I need more land to mow and the cycle starts again. What do you think keeps the tractor dealers in business. These things practically never wear out.:laughing:

Boy that's the truth. We went from a 54" to 60" deck to save time and wound up mowing stuff we never did before.

I got an L5030 so I wouldn't need to run tractors between farm the four times we mowed up here and now I mow here every two weeks and you guessed it, mow stuff I use to leave alone as our renters mowed it twice a year. THEN I drive the L5030 to our other farms to mow where our bigger tractors can't. It truly never ends.:eek:
