WR long valve installed

You can always get some other fittings to attempt to eliminate some of the bend. I ended up doing that with that same hose. The 90 degree fitting I used was cheaper than a new hose. My installation is different than yours (B-series vs L-series) but the issue was the same.

Thanks for the quick response, Mad! Thinking about the geometry, a 90 on the WR-Long-end of the hose with its port facing UP would make the turn a little less sharp, but not much. Eliminating the bend altogether with a 90 by turning the WR-Long port down toward the front would leave a lot more hose hanging down under the tractor. I wonder if it would hang too low...

Mad et al,

I have the Long E/H valve installed on my 5030HSTC and run both supply hoses out to the front of the loader, terminating in quick connects (it's crowded under the loader arm near the mounting plate, so I moved the QC's out front (actually added new/additionals) for easier access.

Question: I want to mount the forward (hose-attached, not hard plumbed) QC's onto a hardmount bracket, possibly bolted onto the protection plate of the cross-pipe member at the front of the FEL.

Do any of you folks know if there is a ready made bracket for quick connects?

What I bought was actually two kits - the Long E/H valve as you indicated, and a 'quick attach kit'. This kit comes with a pair of long hoses with quick-disconnect connectors to go into those on the E/H unit. It also comes with a bracket with another pair of Quick-disconnects that mounts right onto the FEL. The bracket is drilled so that it fits right onto the same holes as the bolts holding the protective plate that covers the hard-hydraulic lines that go across to the left side of the FEL. The end result is a slick install with QD's pointing forward, and hoses going back to the Long valve also with QD's that could be removed if the whole FEL is.

And, you're right - it is pretty cramped under the loader arm!

Brian,

Where did you find the quick attach kit? That bracket is exactly what I am looking for.

I bought mine from my local Kubota dealer. The bill of sale says "WR Long Hyd Q.C. Kit". I don't know how specific it is to my loader but the fit is perfect, so perhaps there is some manufacturer part number. I'm sure your dealer can help you find it. Keep in mind too it comes with two long hoses and essentially four (2 paid) QC fittings. Might be more than you need!

Brian,

Thanks for the quick reply. While you were typing, I was talking to Long. They sell (also) just the bracket (with "bulkhead fittings").

Thank you very much for the direction; EXACTLY what I was looking for.

I passed on the WR Long QC kit. Too much money for me. So I did my own. Much cheaper and simpler.

VERY slick, Mad. Clearly a lot of money can be saved with basic fabrication skills - that I'm sorely lacking. I'm a software guy, after all!
