X748 to replace IH Cub Lo-Boy

1*I would like to begin migrating to diesel power for all of my tractors. .
The JD x748 seemed to be a slightly smaller-size replacement for the Lo-Boy and would also allow me to rid of the JD/Sabre as well. Since the Lo-Boy and JD/Sabre don't have 3pt hitches,
2*I would not be loosing any functionality.
3*I am thinking either the 54" blade for clearing the long driveway, weights and chains.
4*Do you think this is a good idea - consolidating 2 machines into one with the X748?
Unfortunately, the ground is not that smooth and there are some pretty good hills, so the Z-turn is out.
5*I also like having two machines for mowing, so if one is down, there is still a backup and the option to have two people mowing
6*(I am lucky enough to have some volunteers).
7*I guess I am limiting myself to a four-wheeled tractor with mower and front blade, the question is, is the X748 the right way to go
8*it just seemed to be a good 'fit'. For my application of mowing, snow plowing, and towing -
9-would a 2305 or 2320 offer any advantages other than 3pt and rear pto?
10*These models seem to be roughly in the same price category (12-15k). Ultimate budget is 10k, figuring $2000 for the Cub and $500 for the Sabre on trade.

You can get 54", 60" and 62" decks on the X748
The 7 iron 60" deck is a great choice for the X748
The 54" and 62" decks for the X749 with 4ws are good choices too.

Every week or so you go through this same thing I recomend you get your facts straight. Deere and Kubota both make great equipment but there are differences where each really shine. For turf mowing the X748 and X749 really shine and are better than the BX you speak of. For multiple tasks your BX can compete strongly with the Deere subcompacts.

Anyone who intends to develop a lawn, make a silk purse out of a sow's ear needs the largest tractor that can work within the confines of the space initially, afterwards a mower does the best to maintain it.

Steve, he needs to keep repeating this to himself more than anyone else. If he doesn't keep justifying having three of the same tractor, he'll realize he would get by better with one B, one X7, and zero BXs.
