I did the same thing - with certain implements like my Flail mower there just was not enough room to get in there and push and pull as the PTO shafts fit rather tight. Pulling the cover made it a lot easier and I am NEVER near that area when I have the PTO running so I still feel safe.

Okay I have a dilemma. The BetstCO chipper came and it had grade 2 sheer bolt. Seller told me to use grade 5. Well I tried chipping a 4" branch and the grade 2 broke. I put in the grade 5 and it ate the branch like it was nothing. What sheer bolt would you use?

I'd use the grade 5.

I'd use the grade 5.

That's what I'm using this chipper will eat anything 4in or less as advertised. I could not be happier
