XR4040H loader+ pallet fork lift test - would like comments from LS

I've been thru the dealer and thru LS (Harvey Brock) with no resolution. The only other option is to sell this piece of ..... and buy a Kubota. I challenge LS again to take this tractor back so I can get a real tractor....

I'm starting to think that you may not really have this LS tractor your complaining about... Starting to sound a bit like a troll. I can't fathom any reason why you wouldn't be able to get resolution with the dealer, or with LS directly.

It's obvious, that if your relief is set at 2200 psi, and should be set higher, to around 2500... Then that would be the obvious fix. If your dealer won't do it, do it yourself.

Here's the help I can offer:

-Get a gauge to confirm your PSI and test it yourself.
-Read the manual to learn the proper spec.
-Find out how to adjust it and adjust it yourself to the proper spec.
-OR, if you don't want to do it yourself ... Go to the dealer with proof that the relief PSI is set too low, show them this thread so they know that YOU KNOW the loader is under performing, and demand that they adjust it. If that doesn't work, take the same info to your rep. If that doesn't work, find another dealer that can adjust it.

It may be possible that your dealer is unfamiliar with the process of adjusting the relief PSI. None of my local dealers would check or adjust my PSI and said "it was set from the factory and we can't adjust it."

So I followed the steps myself. My Massey loader was only able to lift 2040 lbs on top of my forks when the relief was set just 150 psi below spec ... I went up to spec and gained 350 lbs of lift on top of my forks (forks weigh around 375).

Don't be afraid to take some initiative.

I still go back to the fact you can only lift ~1100lbs with your pressure setting at around ~2200psi. Yes that's slightly less than ~2500 which some have mentioned is possible/okay, but 300psi does not equate to over 1000lbs short of what it should be capable of. If the numbers you are quoting are correct, then something else is wrong.

I tested the PSI, below is the response from LS. I've taken the issue to the dealer owner and LS.

No, his initial test was 31 bags @ 40 lbs each. That equals 1240 lbs not counting the forks and pallet.

If my current tractor gained 350 lbs on top of the forks with just a 150 psi adjustment, then it should seem reasonable that if he's 300 psi under spec, he should gain around 700 lbs. That would put him closer to the 2000 lb spec that the rest of us saw/see with that loader.

Does your manual list the proper PSI?

I guess this shouldn't go any further and you'll have your Kubota next week.

MAX PSI per LS is 2250 psi, I measured 2200 with a very high quality gage.

Can get ~31 bags off the ground, ~28 higher (too unstable to go much higher)

I not going to void a "5 year warrenty" by upping the pressures. I need the forum's help to put pressure on LS to fix this issue or replace the tractor.

per: LS "If you go and start adjusting pressures on loader pressure and bend your engine frame you will void your warranty. "

Is that 2200PSI at the rear remotes, or 2200PSI at the loader quick connects?
