On my house and garage builds, the lumber company sent extra length boards for tie backs during the build as in squaring up the walls before installing the trusses. They took back extra, unused lumber for full credit and even picked it up. They don't charge a delivery fee, nor a pick up fee. Jon
Thx
Still, 97 extra 2x4s, seems like a lot? Besides that, they built the entrance trusses so I had to buy 6 additional LVLs and now re pour the footings. This from a reputable co.
I called the lumber co and that痴 what he said, tie backs etc. initially they told me returns are no problem. Let痴 see. I still have a load of material to buy, sheet rock etc etc.
Almost every time I buy something online, I screw it up, or they do. Between Amazon and Wal mart, they have screwed up 4 of my last 5 orders and it痴 been months trying to reach anyone. Amazon is just miserable. I actually sent a hand written letter, to Seattle, begging them to ask a real person to look into my problem. Letter came back, return to sender, They have mastered the art of taking your money and disappearing.
I recently ordered the top of the line rigid chop/miter saw from HD. I will only buy rigid. Apparently HD is the only retailer for Rigid? I also bought the portable saw stand.
They shipped the stand but have the saw ischeduled for my pick up at the closest store, 1.5 hours 1 way.
The order form was confusing, to me anyway. The more I use online, the less I like it.
Like all things, if it works for you, then you think it痴 great.
I have heard the following statement regularly for 40 years, usually regarding a computer screw up but now regarding Amazon.
Oh, my computer doesn稚 do that! Oh, they never screw up my orders! Good for you.
