Hi WYdirt-
Welcome to the YM240 club. That's a beautiful machine. I'm sure she'll give you many years of good service. I was also concerned about the stability of these machines on even slight slopes. I used windshield washer fluid as ballast in the tires. Where I am -20F fluid was good enough to prevent it from ever freezing. I think I paid about $1.50/gal and used about 60 gals total (in my ag tires). It made a world of difference. She feels planted on the ground now. Wider would still be nice, but this was a pretty easy and inexpensive way to add weight and stability.
I've got a 5' box blade that it handles ok as long as I don't overload it. I used to run a very heavy 5' brush hog but that was really pushing it's limits so I've backed off on using that.
I believe all these models have the thermostat feature (a method for heating the block before starting that uses a small amount of diesel and an electric element to vaporize the fuel). I'm not sure mine works correctly. I find starting below 40F difficult even when I try using that. I don't use mine for snow removal, but I do have a block heater that makes cold starting MUCH easier. If you'll be using Yoshi for that, and don't have a warm place to keep her, a block heater would be a really nice addition.
Your's is one of the prettiest ones I've seen on here. Certainly much prettier than mine...

Thank You!
I have looked at adding windshield washer fluid as well, might have to go that route.
Yoshi is now safe and sound in the garage, but I did check that the thermostart is functional. It is getting power, but NOT when the key is turned all the way back to the TS, it gets the power about halfway between off & TS (maybe that could be what's wrong with yours?)
You have a nice looking 240d as well, everybody but me has a loader.....
