It is disconnected and no , I don’t see any difference. Not in starting/running or in blowby
I'm confused. Does the first sentence say the Thermostart is hot any time the key is On?I feel confident thermostat was working, in my thermostat post I described it was SMOKING after I shut off engine and left key on accidentally. Good thing I did since it showed itself. I ohmed thermostart after that and it shows resistance so not burned open . I haven稚 put power back on it since then.
Yes that would likely burn out the element pretty soon. But when the element is hot that also opens a orifice to dribble diesel into the intake. That diesel could be getting past the rings unburned during the compression stroke before the injectors fire off.The Thermostart Tech. just warms the air and intake up for cold starts. If it
was left on even in run mode It didn't stand a chance.....
