Dirt Moving Yanmar C25R Track Dump

I have one of these as well. The previous owner that we bought our ranch from left it here (as well as a nice Komatsu dozer).

They are a solid little machine and built very well. We use ours primarily to move the rocks that I am constantly digging up. For that it works good.

Someone educate us laymen on the drive mechanism?? For example, hydraulic motor on each axle? Gear drive with an open differential and brake system for each side?

I've only seen two sizes offered as gray market imports, and I think Yanmar-USA only offers those two sizes. But a google search on 'yanmar tracked dumper' found Images from power wheelbarrow size up to dumptruck size.

Here's the C12R, the smaller one I was thinking of.

I think we'd make good neighbors ovrszd!
It has a 4 spd manual transmission with a separate FWD / REV lever. The only hydraulics are for the dump cylinder. Steering is clutch packs left and right side. It's a pretty simple design.

My $400 "parts" machine is now an excellent runner! I fixed the wiring, fuel lines, put in a new low pressure fuel pump and it fired right up! Runs awesome, steering is very responsive, brakes even work good! I went through and hit every grease fitting I could find and oiled all of the linkage.

Changed out the "mush" body mounts today. I ended up doing each side of the front mounts on both machines. Each machine had a bad right front body mount, leaking fuel on the rubber is the suspected cause? All leaky lines repaired as well.
