HHHHMMMM, last I looked there aren't any Repubs in power.

However, Steve at Spalding Tractors in Griffin, GA has nice reconditioned RS1200s. He has a website and a very nice man to do business with.

Hi guys,
I'm going to take a look at one of these someone is selling locally. I'm not sure what the condition is yet. Mechanically anything in particular I should look for? Thoughts on a fair price? Thanks.

BTW, someone has one for sale on Ebay right now in TN. It's pretty rusted up and he started the bidding at $500, although no one has bid on it.

Got mine for $300 back in 2006 to use on my 2005 Kubota B7510HST. It was a struggle to get the tiller interfaced with the 7510.



Had to remove the 26" long lower lift arms on the 3pt hitch and replace them with 35" long arms from my Massey Ferguson 135. Since there's no shear pin on my RS1200, I added a slip clutch. To get the slip clutch installed, I had to use an adapter on the tiller pto shaft to move the clutch away from the tiller's sheet metal (rubbing problem). Finally, since the pto shaft that came with the tiller was crap, I had to get a new pto drive shaft from TSC and cut it to fit.

flusher -- You got a good price for the tiller, but it obviously turned into a project for you to get it working with your tractor. What was the reason for needing to use the longer lower lift arms, just accomodating the length needed for the slip clutch etc?

Tiller came with my tractor package( Yanmar 1500, 12ft trailer, bushhog, box scrap and tiller) in 2003. Only problem tines will break in rocky ground. I find the broken tines and weld them back together. I replace tines ($200) every 3-4 years. Replaced bottom seal last year.
