I don't see where any of those sites say that someone has won the drawing, or that a contest was even held, only that it was promised. So far no results that I can find have been posted.

I think (Income) tax would be due April 15, 2020, but you might be responsible for sales tax if not farm exempt.

Adding to that, there is no mention of the contest in any way on the official Yanmar site (Compact Tractors, Sub-Compact Tractors & UTV's | Yanmar Tractor). There is no mention of a contest on their official Yanmar News/Events, and no mention on their "Promotions" page either.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a Yanmar "groupie", but I gotta say this "contest" seems a bit unbelievable.

Well the drawing was held on "April fool's day"...!

Friend of a girl I was dating back in the 80's won a car and whatever you call the grand prize on The Price is Right. As soon as the show ended, she was met by an IRS agent back stage, who made her fill out the tax forms for her winnings. They didn't say what the amount was that she owed, just let her know that she owed money to the IRS and that she would have to pay it. I believe she sold the car and most of the "stuff" that she won and used that money to pay the taxes.

On a side note, we watched the episode on VHS and when she won the grand prize, she jumped up in the air and swung her arms up as she jumped, hitting Bob Barker in the face so hard that he took a step backwards and stumbled a little bit.

I remember a car giveaway that gave you enough money to pay the taxes, and the prize was worth around $120,000. one was a fully restored, and heavily modified classic, the other one was a brand new, highly modified car, you get both!.. I forgot what make they were, but were muscle cars.. Yanmar is being cheap, unless this was a truly April 1st joke!. maybe a hacker did this?..
