Yanmars Rebadged as Mitsubishi

Wonder what story they give the buyer of one of these (Mitsubishi) tractors when said owner approaches Mitsubishi for parts and then discovers they have a Yanmar??
Sorry we didn't know?? :p
Didn't know? I suppose that's possible. This was listed in 2013 and maybe a clue where the loader came from too.

They states ''we do not sell Grey market Yanmar brand tractors''.. That is a lie ! They are yanmar brand tractors with a Mitsubishi decal

Haha, and what is a YM1401D they have in their advertisement? No that's not a grey, it's blue

A3, whats the VN loader V2/3?? just a different letter I would guess?

Have they ground the serial numbers off, my guess is that this wont last long, cant they just check serial numbers?

Has anyone called them? I am thinking about calling them and see what they say when called out?

As to the parts thing, you just come back to them when you need parts. ...You need a radiator for a mitsu YM2002D....yep sure thing!!! haha, no mention of yanmar...unless you try to buy over the internet and your parts don't look quite right or in the correct place on the tractor for the model

Ahhhh.... this explains the recent calls asking for 'Mitsubishi Yanmar' parts! I wondered what was going on. The callers insist that Mitsubishi tractors were made by Yanmar. I wish tractorco would have just made up their own brand like YNM or whatever the others were. Very confusing to say the least.

This is going to drive Aaron (Hoye) nuts. He needs to increase his restocking fee for customers who keep trying parts until they find one that fits.

Or maybe TractorCo tells their customers that they are the only source in the US where the customer can buy parts - then they dropship Hoye parts, at an appropriate markup of course. Caveat Emptor.

Poor newbie 'Mitsubishi' buyers.

Ha! Second time Aaron has posted while I was drafting a post. Aaron you need a 'special' price list for these Mitsubishi's. Or maybe add an explicit 'TractorCo research time fee' on each order.

Haha.. an added MitsuYanmar fee. Really though, now that we know what is going on and assuming they are not selling those Junkyard Wars machines with the mismatched parts, it will not be that bad. If they just painted the Yanmar blue and keep the 'YM' model number correct it is no big deal. There for a while there was a VN importer that was making all sorts of Franken-Yanmars with all sorts of mismatched stuff. THAT was annoying and should have probably required a research fee. Haven't seen any of those in a while though.

That whole thing is nuts. It's funny how their statement talks about grey market tractors. Yeah they mention yanmar as a grey market but they don't say they are rebadging them as a Mitsubishi. That's messed up. Yeah Aaron will go nuts over this!! Sorry Arron.

I was just talking about if they went back to get parts from "tractorco" not talking about other parts places like Hoye or Frederics
