Zracer, I think? After you pull the internal1/8"npt plug the PBY from your loader valve goes where the red cap is now? that will now feed your 3pt hitch w/priority going to loader? That's the way it is in my manual and on my 226.It works great, But I am suspect of what the manual says cause my hyd fluid runs hot hot? My loader valve rated 13gpm, trac only6gpm maybe restriction some where? DON'T DEADHEAD YOUR PUMP, Read manual carefully. You must have a PBY loader valve(7 hoses)or priority/diverter to split loader valve B with 3pt C. All I see is "B"(in to loader valve) and "D"(out to tank) ?

OK, I opened all your pics(dial-up) The valve pic shows "no label" thats the PBY. On my 226 valve, PBY goes where your red plug is under seat. I think Your "out" and "no label/PBY" both go to "tank"(trans housing)?? Read your 276 manual I think your PBY goes where you red plug is?

You are right on the hookup. What about the port on the transmission next to the 4x4 lever? Do you have a plugged port there?

Got the manual and I believe I can hook it up properly now. I do have another question though.

The "in" from the loader control is going under the tractor and mounted under the tranny on the left side. I don't find anything about this port in the owners manual or service manual. Do I just plug this line? Here's a picture, it is under the left side next to the four wheel drive selector.

Man, don't plug that:eek:I think thats your feed(suction line) for your hyd pump. inside trans right there you will find a cleanable filter.

Not sure what "plugged port" you are talking about? (your pic) some of those plugged ports are
safety valves. I think 1 maybe 2 safety valves? Your manual should tell you?

The line in that picture is on the opposite side of the screen filter. It is right next to the 4x4 lever under the left hand side of the tractor, exactly opposite the line with the screen in it. My manual does not even show a hydraulic hookup there or on the schematics.

Thats should be your feed(suction) for your pump?, NO plug?

zracer,

I'll take a stab at your questions

I'm no expert but the last picture shown seems to bypass the complete 3PH setup. Since the back hoe had its own hydraulic supply and powered by the PTO, perhaps someone has inadvertently shut down the hydraulic flow by putting the high pressure and suction/return line at the same port passage.

I'm also suspicious of the port closed next to your implement lock valve (red plastic cap) and shouldn't that be connected to a high pressure line?

In more generic terms...I think someone has provided a continuous loop so the pump won't 'dead-head' and for the FEL, bypassed the 3PH completely.

Here's your picture again...I don't completely understand the setup but it does look wrong to me:

I agree totally..... After thinking about your pics, line on bottom of tranny(below shift lever) should NOT be connected to loader valve at all! Bottom line(below shift lever) on tranny, Should be going to spin-on filter>then to eng. mount pump intake. You got some crazy plumbing I think?

Oh, all that gasket goop(your pics) on rear end, top/back covers somebody's been in there recently No?

No your manual would never suggest such crazy plumbing....
Man, after re-read. If that line really goes to your "in" on your loader valve(I hope your're mistaken) I suppose the loader would work?, BUT would mean DANGEROUS presure on trans housing??? Get a pro to look at it for your own safety!

Got her working!

Put the allen plug back in. Removed the line going to the transmission bottom that attached to the unmarked line from the loader. Plugged that line into the plugged port that had the red cap. The unmarked line is the "power forward" line. Works great now. Why it was ever routed that way I'll never know. Got the loader manual from Hoye tractor and that cleared it up. Thanks for the input.
