you guys can't count....

This is the dilemma nowadays. It used to be that you just did the right thing and good things happened. Now it seems that no good deed goes unpunished.

Not to be cynical but I see this often in the corp world...

At one time it was about getting the job done... now, it is often about following procedure without regard to achieving the task...

Like the employee who stays late on his own time to receive in a critical delayed medical shipment without being authorized.... instead of a Pat on the Back... it turns out to be the opposite...

Never mind the patient received the transplant and the donated tissue was saved.

A widow lady got into trouble letting her neighbor use her drive to access his property... it is paved and made for easy access... the family later claim it was their right to access... she passed without it being resolved.

So if she "loses" the letter?
Matters not, state law says it is her problem anyway. We just wanted a record that we’d gone out of our way to be accommodating.

Another neighborç—´ tree fell into our yard, and we had to take care of the part of the tree that fell in our yard. We wound up splitting the cost for a tree service anyway.

Now we can beef up the rounded plug thread.

So very true these days. Unfortunately in the days of email and bean counter bosses.

God bless that employee that stayed late

Kind of unfortunate that this thread will likely go on for years and we'll never know the outcome. It's like the last few pages missing from a book or magazine article. Surely something unexpected came.

Put me down for the 600th post contest. I'll take Sept 7th, 2018.
