Good advice to take a class.

Blackhawk Sherpa's are nice(guess what I have...). But, some ranges don't like them. One training facility I know of does not allow them, because too many people come right off the release to the trigger and shoot themselves in the leg...

Maybe he could attend a firearms instruction class at the local gun shop, etc.

I recommend the BlackHawk Sherpa holster for this gun. They are very nice and have a finger lock to release pistol.

Funny thing is, I really like the Single Six too. But it does not fit my big hands worth a hoot, and I can not hit the broad side of a barn. Same with those 357 Blackhawks.

x2 I have this Ruger outfit

Try one with Ruger Bisley grip frame and grips if you ever get the chance, big difference.

Standard left, Bisley on the right.

He has a friend who recently got out of the Navy that served several tours in Afganastan and Iraq that is a very good shot and knows is pistols better then I do. He has a .45 cal Glock. They both came over this pass weekend to do some shooting and his friend is teaching him to shoot. They brought several hundred rounds and it was fun to see them get into it. I shot a few clips, but shooting just isn't my thing. More fun to help others and see their progress!!!!!
