Your towing rigs and trailers

Here’s one of mine. My ton truck would move it on a GN trailer but I don’t like the pintle behind a lighter truck plus I can’t load the ton truck and move the M59.

My trailer is too uninteresting to post, as it's just a single axle 5.5ï¾—10 landscape trailer, but I do like my truck. In 2015, I bought a brand new middle-of-the-road Silverado 1500, first time I ever bought a new vehicle after owning about 30 used ones. I had it for exactly one year, before I couldn't take it anymore and traded it in for a fancy 2016 3500 HD LTZ/Z71 Duramax. Every time I needed to haul something heavy, I regretted my 1500 (especially since I'd come off of an 04 2500), so I stepped back up. In this picture, I'm about to unload 2 tons of 2B stone into an area where I need to pour some concrete.

I hate half tons. I don’t even like towing my lawnmower with one. In its defense the lawnmower and trailer is about 4K. My 2500 is a much more secure ride over the 1500 when towing. I can’t say that l like unloading stone by hand either.

used my b2650 to clean up after taking down a tree. ran it across the scale along with the truck and trailer. does anyone want to guess on weight or should i tell you

That's a 30' trailer? Did you mean 20'?

If it is a 20' trailer as it looks in the pic, I'm going to say 14,500#.

I’m going to guess the truck is about 7500 including the bed load and driver, the trailer about 2000 maybe 2500 and the tractor and implements 3500.

truck - 8000#
trailer (assuming it is 30') - 4000#
Tractor & implements - 4000#
Total is 16,000# or maybe a little more.

Depending on if the tractor has ballast and what kind, I say Approx 13,000lbs

That's a 30' trailer? Did you mean 20'?

i find it interesting that everyone over estimated the tractor and implements, under on the trailer and were close ish on the truck

Guessing the tires arent loaded then, that's 5-600lbs right there.

I usually round up, trailers are hard to estimate from pictures, I've seen 20ft 10k trailers anywhere from 2-3k lbs.

Picked up a new goose neck power tilt deck trailer last year and a new truck this spring. Had to Haul the tractor to the dealer to get the front cover resealed, so I finally got some picks.
