Just read a post from Birdhunter1 about his purchase of a 17 year old tractor and whether it was vintage or not. From that I got an idea that it might be interesting to hear the age of your tractor. For those that have multiples, we don't need to hear about all of them. To set a fair playing field, you can only list the tractor you put the most hours on in a year. So one tractor per person, the most used. All sizes of tractors, CUTs and SCUTs apply.

Mine would be a 2001 Kubota B2910.

Gosh that's a hard one... I got a bunch of tractors, and use 3 of them regularly.. though 1 does get used slightly more than the other 2. I'll post that one as my official answer.. but post the other two as a side note.

Most used: 2002 NH 7610s

(52' 8n and 55' 660 get 75% of the hours that the 7610s gets. )

That works. Just trying to get an idea of the average age of the tractors most used by TBN posters. Would have done some sort of POLL but wasn't smart enough!!! :)

About 1980 and sure its vintage, it's the next-to-last update of a model that was in production for a decade or two by then.

Pure vintage, none of that modern fru-fru like power steering or 4x4. Full stop to shift gears. :D

Ok, California, my Yanmar is 79-81 and DOES have the fru fru 4wd! No power steering though. I am also considering relieving a friend of a 1941 Farmall (think it's an A) because it is a really good deal and could pull the manure spreader instead of using my truck.

At least it isn't as old as I am....

My FAVORITE tractor is a 1971 Massey Ferguson 150 I bought new in May of '71. I've kept the hours fairly low. Rather run it than 10 new ones. So 35 years old.

Still have in my fathers 1957 Massey Ferguson 50 that he bought new in Aug of '57. I don't consider it "mine" as much as I consider it "family property". My son will get it when I'm done on this earth. Restoration begins this winter. 49 years old.

Also have Uncles Ferguson F-40 he bought new sometime in 1956. It's rough. Someday it'll get re-done, but not in the next year or two. 50 years old.

I have my Deere 2440 I bought new in June of 1979. It's on the way to my sons place in a month or two. I've got one more job for it, then it's his. 27 years old.

1974 Ford 3000 that replaced one I bought new in 1972. Original was a gasser. It spent most of it's life with a loader on it. Replacement is a diesel in MUCH better condition. 32 Years old, but only here for 9 months so far.

There's been a few more that came and went. In the end, my 150 and dads 50 will stay until I'm in a box.

Too old to break in another one.

Currently all my use is bushhog 20 plus acres of fields plus some back blade work and pulling firewood. For all of this I use a JD 1010 vintage approximately 1961 with a 35hp gasoline engine.

Also have a JD "B" vintage 1952 that I am in the process of attaching a No 8 (3pt with no wheel) sicklebar mower to. This is what we used on the farm when Dad was farming so I am restoring the B to useable condition. For now I use it to drag firrewood out and general putzzing around. When the sicklebar mower is again functioning I will mow the field edges and banks with it.
