Zerk/lube idea...

You missed my point. What I'm asking is what prompts you to remember that there are 32 grease zerks so you don't miss the last two?

It's important on each piece of equipment to know how many, where all the grease fittings are. Similar tip I picked up from an excavator friend who writes on every filter date + hours when changed. Zerks can be easily overlooked.

I think the main point being - whatever works for you. I know when I get close to finishing the greasing of my grapple, FEL, tractor and rear blade - I'm so greased up I can barely hold/operate the grease gun. 32 sound like a number that would fit my greasing activities also.

Pneumatic grease gun helps!

Some folks just like everything to be organized... unfortunately, I'm not one of them...maybe someday.

What I found is the older I get the more scatterbrained I become. It's like the brain is a bucket and can only hold so much, so you have to get rid of something to learn something new.
On mowers, tractors, equipment I've gotten so I write nut sizes (mower blades) on the deck, oil and other capacities, filter #s, etc. on the equipment.

I'm going to get some and paint them bright yellow. I have enough trouble sorting out the black wilderness 'neath this tractor. Numbering them will ensure I don't miss any too.

They come in different colors, I have some red ones that came with a zerk kit I bought, some have keepers so they stay connected.
